Process flow

From Ripe Papaya to a Connected Puree Process

The whole-fruit route joins an open preparation area to a closed puree treatment circuit. Each handover changes the material or the way it is handled. The following process sequence shows those connections; it is a general line arrangement, not a customer installation drawing.

01

1. Move, wash and inspect whole fruit

The elevator sets the receiving and discharge heights; the washer provides brush contact and spray water; the inspection conveyor exposes the fruit to operators. Transfer points should deliver fruit into the next stage without accumulation. The fruit-contact arrangement is selected for the firmness of the papaya being processed.

Rejected fruit leaves the inspection area through a separate collection route. The clean-fruit outlet leads to preparation, with room for people, containers and cleaning access rather than another unplanned drop into a machine.

02

2. Separate usable flesh from peel and seeds

The preparation area accommodates cutting, peeling and removal of the seeds from the fruit cavity. It produces usable flesh for pulping and separate peel, seed and trim streams. The movement of utensils, waste containers and prepared flesh is part of the workstation arrangement.

Prepared flesh is collected and fed at a rate the pulper can accept. The delivery method and opening must suit the prepared pieces. A whole-fruit conveyor rate alone does not establish the output of this stage.

03

3. Pulp and refine through two linked chambers

The first chamber works prepared flesh against a screen and separates the recovered pulp from residue. The pulp passes to the second chamber for refinement. The two stages belong to one machine; their drives, screens, outlets and cleaning access are coordinated on the same frame.

Product and reject samples show how the chosen arrangement performs. Texture evaluation includes visible particles and consistency, while the material balance records how much prepared flesh becomes usable puree.

04

4. Buffer the puree and feed thermal treatment

The buffer vessel receives puree from refining and supplies a matched transfer pump. Usable level range and feed control absorb short interruptions upstream. The pump, product pipe and downstream inlet are selected together for the puree condition.

In a thermal route, tubular equipment heats the product indirectly, passes it through the designed holding section and cools it to the next operation. The selected process determines the required flow and temperature controls. A process bypass or recovery route, where required, is designed explicitly.

05

5. Fill through a controlled packaging connection

For aseptic bulk packing, the treated product enters the bag filler through the specified product connection. Bag fitment, filling-head operation, measurement and container handling must be compatible. Other packaging or preservation routes require a separately defined outlet and equipment scope.

The production route also has a cleaning route. Open fruit handling and preparation are cleaned directly, removable pulper parts require access, and suitable closed circuits connect to CIP supply and return. Cleaning cannot be inferred from the production arrows alone.
