Match services to the selected process stages
Receiving equipment, pulper drives, product transfer and treatment packages do not use the same services. Identify the stages included in the proposed line before collecting utility information.
Heating and cooling requirements depend on product duty and the selected treatment route. The pictured assembly should not be assigned a universal service-consumption figure without its operating basis.
Describe what is available at the installation
Provide the electrical supply and the available heating, cooling and compressed-air arrangements where relevant. Include service-entry locations, connection limitations and whether the systems already serve other equipment.
Water and drain arrangements also affect preparation and cleaning. Establish where supplied water enters, where return or waste streams leave and which parts of those services belong to the site scope.
| Selection point | Information to confirm |
|---|---|
| Electrical | Available supply and installation connection information |
| Thermal | Existing heating and cooling service arrangement |
| Air | Availability for the selected equipment functions |
| Cleaning | Water, cleaning supply and drain connections |
Review utilities with layout and controls
Utility connection points should fit the equipment access and product route. Discuss operating interruptions and the requirements for equipment startup and cleaning with the connected stages.
Send the site-service information with the equipment enquiry. The final utility schedule should be issued for the agreed machine configuration, not copied from an unrelated project or generic capacity label.
Questions in practice
Before connecting the equipment
Can utility consumption be quoted from a photograph?
The equipment configuration and product operating duty are needed. A photograph alone does not define the final service schedule.
